About Free The Dragon

“This successful investigation clearly demonstrates the scale that the illegal gambling market has now reached,” said Mathias Dahms, president of the DSWV.

Dahms highlighted the significant dangers unlicensed operators pose to player protection and the overall integrity of the licensed market. He cited the absence of controls such as deposit limits, identity verification and player suspension tools.

He also called for continued rigorous enforcement efforts alongside strict regulation to safeguard consumers, adding: “Anyone who wants to strengthen player protection must therefore consistently crack down on illegal services and strengthen legal ones.”

What is Free The Dragon?

The news value here is less about the individual game than about what it signals. REEVO is continuing to lean on one of the most heavily worked themes in online slots. The studio is packaging a familiar setting alongside a mix of mechanics rather than a single standout engine.

Thunder Walker has a 5×5 reel layout with 50 paylines and a range of themed features. With a medium volatility profile, a reported RTP of 95.72% and a maximum win of 2,358x the bet, the game sits toward the more measured end of the market. This is not one of the high-ceiling, high-variance releases that dominate headlines.

That positioning matters. It points to a title built for broad operator placement and steady session play rather than a chase-the-max spectacle, which fits how volume-driven studios tend to structure their mid-tier output.

About Free The Dragon

“Gambling should be taught as entertainment rather than a way to make money,” Morolong said.

Botswana’s regulated betting market has expanded quickly following the Gambling Authority’s 2023 process to license bookmaker and totalisator operators, including online betting subject to regulatory approval.

In January 2024, before locally licensed online operators were active, the Authority said it had recorded about 510,000 monthly cases of Botswanans participating in illegal online gambling.
